This week's adventures took us to the new(er) BB Mongolian BBQ Restaurant.

They have a variety of mongolian style plates, limited sushi offerings, and Bento Boxes. We opted for 2 Veggie plates, and 1 plate with Chicken & Beef.

Cobian's Single Cheeseburger Combo

As you might know, so much of the Mongolian BBQ experience and flavor is in the hands of the customer and the toppings and sauces you opt to include.

There was a wide selection of thinly sliced proteins (typical for Mongolian BBQ restaurants) all in neatly pre-packaged portions. They had combo options as well. The proteins offered were beef, chicken, chicken breast, chicken 'white meat', pork, shrimp, spicy shrimp, and bulgogi (Korean BBQ Beef).

Moving down the line to the vegetable station provided a well-stocked and neatly displayed selection of sliced onions, green onions, bean sprouts, zucchini, carrots, bok choy, jalapenos, broccoli, and bamboo shoots.

The fruit and garnish station had numerous additional toppings including tomatoes, pineapple, cilantro, tofu, water chestnuts, baby corn, and the sauce offerings. They had a sign indicating the best combination for sauces is 1 spoonful of each sauce (sesame oil, oyster sauce, spicy, mild, garlic, & lemon).

I opted for the chicken and beef, with a mountain of pineapple, onions, and garlic...topped with a healthy 4 spoonfuls of the spicy sauce and 1 spoonful of each of the other recommendations. It was delicious, flavorful, and beyond piping hot. Keep in mind, they do top off your dish with noodles to fill it out.

Sheri & Guy both opted for veggie plates with jalapenos, carrots, onions, cilantro, water chestnuts, and plenty more! Guy and I devoured our plates, but Sheri had a full lunch and plenty for dinner that night!

To round out the savory meal, they offer complimentary Thrifty's Ice Cream in a self-serve cooler. They had chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, and rainbow sherbet. What a bonus!

If you are headed down Valley View just south of Cerritos, stop in and give them a try! Their address is 5950 Corporate Ave #200, Cypress and their phone number is (714) 952-9234.
